Over 20 years ago Eureka Aircraft was founded by Don Turnock in Eureka Springs, AR in order to provide foam wings and custom-cut kits for radio-controlled aircraft. Don worked in the RC aircraft industry for most of his lifetime and built a wealth of knowledge that he used to ensure the products provided were of the highest quality.
Over the years Eureka grew and added to the list of wings available and now Eureka is the largest supplier of foam wings in the US. We have over 600 wings available for designs produced over the last 40+ years and each of these wings is cut using a CNC-operated hot wire to ensure the highest quality.
Our selection of kit offerings has also grown substantially and we are adding new kits at a steady pace, each one of our kits is cut using a CNC router or laser to ensure accuracy and fit. In August of 2021, a chance conversation led to my family purchasing Eureka from Don with the goal of carrying on his legacy of quality products.
I grew up in Iowa near Byron Originals and have been building RC aircraft since 1990 so this is an exciting opportunity to combine a lifelong hobby with business. Eureka is now located near Sioux Center, Iowa in its own building with room to grow and we look forward to serving this industry for many years to come!
